Now before you start, there are different ways to go about removing a background from an image. In fact, when I first started making graphics I used the eraser tool to get rid of what I didn't want. This tutorial, however, makes use of the Pen tool. You might think that it takes too long to use the pen tool but I believe you have more control over the intricate areas with it than with an eraser.
